Apartments
If you went back in time I think you should go to the apartments because they were so interesting. To begin with there were three different floors. The bottom floor was stores, taverns and the kitchen. The kitchen used pots not the table platters. In the kitchen they had a fire for cooking. Apartments didn’t have their own cooking area. Another interesting fact about the apartments is they were dangerous. There was a law that said they had to be three stories high. The reason for this law was that there were many fires. So now you know a little bit about the apartments.

A really long time ago there was a building called Flora’s temple. Here‘s some fact’s about this giant temple. Inside priest used to worship gods and had sacrifices for them. One of the gods they worshiped was Flora. Flora is god of growing plants and helping plants thrive. She also had two temples which were extremely big. Another thing the priest did was sacrifice. The priest would burn the animals and give them to the gods. The priest thought by sacrificing the animals the gods would give something back in return[t1] . Basilica
ROMAN BASILICA
The Basilica building is very interesting and this is why. One interesting fact about the Basilica is its large .The Basilica 31.6 feet high and 17.16 feet wide. 31.16ft is about as tall as our school gym. There is a door and it is bronze and brown. Another fact about the Basilica is it had a large hall inside. To get inside the large hall you had to be a man. No women were allowed. The Basilica hall was used for the government. In the hall the men held meetings every week or so to talk about the town. So now you know some facts about the Basilica.

Circus Maximus
CIRCUS MAXIMUS
Today you will be learning about the Circus Maximus. To begin with the Circus Maximus is huge. The Circus Maximus is two thousand feet long and the width is six hundred fifty feet. It can hold two thousand fifty people in it. The next fact you will learn is how many chariots race. There are twelve chariots that can race at one time. You can have two or four horses on a team pulling a chariot. A chariot is a cart that has two wheels. The race drivers started with a cloth that the Empire dropped. They got lots of money if they won. Now you know more about the Circus Maximus.

The roman fort
Today I will tell you about the roman fort. Here are some facts about this amazing fort. To begin with the roman fort was very large. The number of people that they could fit in the fort at ones was 4,000 people or more. The soldiers had a lot of stables for their horses. The soldiers that rode the horses were called the Calvary . Another thing I will tell you about is how the soldiers protected the fort. They had gigantic walls. The walls were 13 ft high so it would probably be impossible to climb it. Outside the fort Auxiliaries guarded the soldiers by protected the entrances. The Auxiliaries were the people that guarded the soldiers and they didn’t get paid. Now you know why the forts are so interesting.
Roman Apartments
A couple thousand years ago the Romans built apartments and I am going to tell you two facts about them. First apartments had stores. The stores where always down stairs. The stores where so big. The stores had all kind of stuff like fresh figs, apples, freshly caught shellfish and sweet wine. The second thing about the apartments was two families could live in the apartments. The first family that lived there had to say that the second family could live there. Both of the families slept up stairs on the second floor. As one can see this is what happen a couple thousand years ago in the Roman Empire town.

The Villa
The Villa
A couple thousand years ago Romans built a building called the villa. This was an amazing building. To begin with the interesting[ Villa has lots of food. There was 65 acres in the villa of crops like wheat, apples, beans, onions, grapes, and very good olives. Many of them were owned by wealthy people. Another thing about the villa is that most of the workers were slaves. Roman slaves were often people from countries captured by Rome . They were bought and sold at markets in town. Many owners took good care of their slaves, and paid them for doing special jobs. Sometimes they were given, or allowed to buy their freedom. Now you know what they had in villas in roman times.
The Villa
The Villa
If you could travel in time you should want to visit the villa for several reasons! One reason is they grew food. Some of the food they grew was grapes, apples, onions, wheat,
and very good olives. The best farm land was on the coast of North Africa ! The soil there was amazing! There were awesome places to grow wheat.Wheat was ground into flour and then made into bread! Next I will talk to you about the slaves! The slaves did most of the farm work. A trusted slave called the vilicus was in charge of the fields and laborer! The slaves work very hard. If they didn’t work hard they might be beaten or kept chained! As you can see the villa is a grate place to be! JJJ
The amazing roman senate house
Would you like to hear about a spectacular building? By reading this you will go back
in time and travel to the basilica. One reason why the
basilica was so amazing is because they used it to hold court. They held court
in a large room with marble floor. Senators would help the emperor decide what
was going to happen to the person they were judging. Eventually the army would
come and take the person to jail. The
second reason the basilica was so great was because of the door. The basilica
had huge, ginormous bronze doors for getting lots of people in, and out. The
doors to the roman senate house are still standing from 1,000 years ago! The
third reason the roman senate house is so wonderful is because of its
dimensions. It was 31.6 feet tall, 57.1 feet wide and 82.7 feet long. It was
one of the tallest buildings in the Roman Empire .
The last reason the roman basilica was so spectacular is how it fell down and
was rebuilt. When Julius Ceaser’s senate house was burned down in a fire in the
late 200s AD the emperor had a new senate house built to replace it. The senate
house that was rebuilt is still standing in the same place in the forum today.
Amazing! Now you know four things about the basilica.

Roman Religion
A really
long time ago in the roman times there was buildings called temples. Here are a
few facts about them. One thing they did inside was
worship many gods. The
people of the church burned animals and made sacrifices. Some of the people
thought it sent messages to the gods. The priest and emperor also prayed and took the peoples offering inside.
The poor people gave coins and brooches and the rich people gave silver
statues. Most people thought it would
give them good luck. Another
fact about the temple was the gods. There was goddess and gods. The goddesses were; Juno the
wife of Jupiter also goddess of goddess, Flora goddess of flowers and spring,
Terra goddess of Earth, Minerva
goddess of wisdom also daughter of Jupiter, and Venus goddess of love and beauty. The male gods were;
Mercury god of road and travel, Saturn god of fertility and planting, Sol god
of the sun, Cupid Venus son, Jupiter god of sky, Mars god of war, and Neptune god of the sea. The most
powerful god was Zeus god of gods. Now you should have a pretty good idea of roman religion.
